Proofreading
During the proofreading process my main task is to check your text for spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes.
I focus on the following aspects:

- Syntax (sentence construction and word order)
Editing
High-quality editing means optimizing and perfecting your texts. I don't only proofread your texts, they are also stylistically revised. In addition to the grammar and spell check, I also focus on the following aspects:
- Appropriate style
- Improvement of comprehensiveness
- Appropriate word choice (terminology)
- Completeness and clarity of the content
- Coherent and consistent wording and spelling
Revision
In a revision, the translation is compared with the source text and the following aspects of the translation are checked and, where necessary, corrected: accuracy, completeness and clarity of the content, appropriate style, correct grammar and spelling, and whether the purpose of the text has been fulfilled.
Machine translation post-editing
Post-editing is defined as correcting or editing of machine-translated texts. There are 2 levels of post-editing:
- Complete post-editing: The goal is to obtain a product which is comparable to a human translation.
- Partial post-editing: The goal is to obtain a clear and understandable text. However, it cannot be compared to a human translation.
